LEAD Foundation provides family focused programs funded by FSCD and Alberta Education. We believe parents have an integral role in the success of their child.
We provide a developmentally appropriate, activity- based, family-focused program to support children diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
LEAD Foundation:
- hires, trains and evaluates each child’s Child Development Specialist(s) to ensure the best fit for your family
- coordinates and oversees team meetings
- creates with team members, including parents, an individual plan which is updated at least three times during the school year
- provides children with therapists motivated to helping children succeed
- work with parents to provide support and strategies to help their children reach their full potential
- Professional Development (PD) for Child Development Specialists, therapists and parents is provided
- Your professional team may include
- Speech and Language Pathologist
- Occupational therapist
- Physical therapist
- Psychologist / Behavioural support
- Team Coordinator / Teacher
- Child Development Specialist (aide)
